Transitions

  • How to apply a new font to all the cell in an entire worksheet at one time rather than one cell at a time ? first make the table / worksheet when your done select from the first cell u used to the last cell you used for example, A1:F10. Then go to the Font style options and select one and that it all at one from A1 to F10 the Font will be changed


  • what have i learned in excel ?
what Ive learned in excel is how to make multiple letter saying the same thing to different person and different action etc. i learned how to do a chart9visual way to write down information), a table(what u use to me the chart here you write the information so it can be transferred into the chart), i learned how to make a Gantt chart - this is used for bussiness work is a chart that record data task over time .

How to do a Mail Merge?




First before anything you have to make a list of names and action those people did in excel
then save that. Then go on Microsoft word type

Dear First name
Thank you for Action i appreciate this so much.
then you go to the Mailings tab. Then click on Start mailing merge , then Select Normal Word document, then click on Start mailing merge then Select step by step mail merge wizard. then on the right side of the page your going to see some options SELECT DOCUMENT TYPE: letter , go all the way down and click on next. TYPE OF DOCUMENT: use the current document, . SELECT RECIPIENT: use existing file THEN CLICK ON BROWSE. LOOK FOR THE EXCEL DOCUMENT YOU SAVED.SELECT THE SHEET YOU USED .go all the way down and click on next TO WRITE YOUR LETTER - HIGHLIGHT FIRST NAME ON The WORD DOCUMENT , CLICK ON MORE ITEMS then finally CLICK ON next preview your letter , then your done you can either print it or save it to print all the letters a different time.

  • MAILING MERGE CAN BE USED TO WRITE THE SAME LETTER TO DIFFERENT PEOPLE FOR EXAMPLE LIKE THEY DO IN SCHOOL THEY SAY THE SAME THING BUT THEY PUT DIFFERENT DEARS ON IT AND WHO'S CHILD.

Is a visual way to show information or data.

when a formula or function is copied or moved to another cell , any cell references in the formula get fixed too.

when you select columns cell or rows and you combine 2 or more cells into a whole one.

Header row :

Filling Gridlines :


Grid lines are the low opacity lines that appear around cells.

Fill handle :


a small black dot or square in the bottom right corner of the active cell.

Descending order :


ranks the size of a number compared to other numbers in the list .

Cell reference:


identifies the location of a cell or group of cells.

Ascending order :


Lets you put thing in order from A to Z and small to large or vice versa.

Active cell:


Data can only be entered into the active cell. Even if more than one cell is selected, there is still only one cell active cell.
